Chinese Terrorists Attack American Newspaper
four killed and fifteen WOUNDED Received Sunday, p.in. SHANGHAI, July 22. A band of terrorists attacked the office of a Chinese language newspaper in the International fctettlement supporting Chiang Kai-shek. The terrorists fired 50 shots and hurled three hand grenades killing an American barkeeper, “Tug" Wilson, and two Chinese and wounding one Russian driver and three Chinese constables. The police quelled the affray. A -later message states that the terrorists arrived in a taxicab. The newspaper was the American-owned Daily News. It is now reported that lour were killed and 15 wounded. The police waged a fierce gunlight ■with the terrorists three of whom were arrested. CHINESE BOYCOTT BRITISH CURRENCY Received .Sunday, 0.20 p.m. TIENTSIN, July 22. A mass meeting of Chinese boycotte l British currency and refused to sell Japanese goods to Britain.
