provement, and the same examination papers are set for both sexes. We have advanced a long way towards equality of education, and theoretically, at least, all the professions and many trades are open to both men and women, but in spite of this, the goal seems to bo as far away as ever. Women still spend their time doing housework, and child minding (it is selcfcm training), and putting immense creative energy in social functions, and still do not take an active and essential part in running their own towns and country. Is this due to men clinging to their privileges, or merely tho lack of initiative in women, or just that we have not tackled the problem of combining a career with marriage? One thing is certain, that having got so far, women should make the most of their hard-won education, and really use it.
