Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Bavin, of Russell Street, are visiting Wellington.
Miss V. Gunter was a visitor to Palmerston North for tho week-end, returning to Hastings last evening.
Mrs. Forrest Levesey, after staying in Wellington for a time, followed by a short while spent in Fcilding as tho guest of Mrs. W. 11. McLean, East Street, has motored on to stay at the Chateau Tongariro before returning to her home at the Mount, Tauranga.
Mrs. Iv. A. Elliott, of Stratford, who suffered a second fracture of a leg already in plaster as a result of an injury received two months ago, in a head-on collision between two cars at Waverlcy recently, is a sister of Mrs. C. V £ Guy, South Street, Fcilding.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Abrahams, of Cuba Street, left on Friday for Wellington, where they connected with the vessel for Australia, on a health trip. They expect to bo absent for three months, visiting Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
The death of Mrs. Mary Dundas, of Palmerston North, removes a lady whoso early life was associated with the Manawatu in its pioneering days. She was a daughter of Mr. Alex Macdonald, around whom considerable attention focused in tho early days when ho shot tho horses of a mail coach at Awahuri bridge as a protest against wrongs allegedly imposed on the Maoris. Her husband, Mr., Alexander Dundas, was a surveyor who conducted extensive district operations. Deceased is survived by her two daughters—Mrs. A. Johnston, of Princess Street, Palmerston North, and Miss Dundas, of Main Street, Palmerston North—and one son, Mr. Cecil Dundas, of Christchurch.
