Three One-act Plays

BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL DRAMATIC CLUB ENTERTAINS Last night in the Assembly Hall of the Boys' High School, before a capacity house, the school dramatic club j staged threo one-act plays, all of which i were excellently presented by tho boys and enthusiastically received by an interested audience. The threo plays were produced by Mr. A. G. Baigeut and the careful training the boys had received and the detailed attention given to costumes, ~taging and charac- . terisation resulted iu a delightful evening’s entertainment. Tho casts were as follow: “Scuttleboom’s Treasure." Cast: Ebenezer Scuttleboom, Bruce Davidson; Black Bill, Arthur Andrews; Sharky Joe, John Murray; Look-out man, Peter Stichbury; Slimy Pete, Ken Perrin; 1 Jamaica Jim, Russell Jackson; Rosebud, Colin Christiansen; Titterton, William Pringle; Blucnoso Blake, Douglas Hope; Ginger Mike, Maurice Sexton; Mr. Fish, Bercsford Pogden; Jones, Gordon Lee; party of boys, George Wardle, Jack Mummery, Tom Speedy, Bryan Thompson, Colin Campbell. Secno 2: Drawing room. This presentation of plays in lighter vein is designed to give the inexperienced membors of the Dramatic Club stage experience. Only threo of the above performers have appeared in a dramatic club stage play before. The club is indebted to Mrs. G. C. Peterson, Mrs. Bowler-Watson, Miss Patricia Harman and Miss Babette Rodgers for assistance with make-up, and Mrs. P. Robert for tho loan of costumes. At the conclusion tho rector, Mr. J. Murray, thanked the audience for their attendance, and those present, by spontaneous applause, expressed their ap- | predation of the efforts of the jplayers «and tho producer.
