Burton Wins the British Golf “Open”

AGGREGATE OF 290 United Press Association.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, July 7. The British open golf championship was won by John Burton, of England, with an aggregate of 290. His rounds were: 70, 72, 77, 71. Burton is 36 years of age, having been born in Darwen on December 6, 1903. He first came into prominence when he won the Manchester and district professional championship in 1930, and was runner-up for the northern championship in the same year.
