Wooderson Breaks Mile Record
WINS BRITISH CHAMPION oHIP IN RAIN United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, July 9. At the athletic championships at White City the mile final resulted: — Wooderson 1, Pell 2, Collyer 3. The time was 4.11 1-8, which is a championship record, despite the rain. Wooderson won by J £ yards, with 12 yards between the second and third men. Pell was overtaken'2s yards from the tape.
