PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH WORK Miss K. Every, recently ordained Deaconess of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand and specially appointed to Youth of the Church work, has been visiting St. Paul’s, Pahiatua, for threo days. She was a guest at the Manse. She left for Wellington by the rail-car on Saturday morning. During her visit Miss Every addressed and instructed the Biblo Class of St. Paul’s and also the Ballancc Bible Class. She conveyed the greetings of the Church’s highest assembly and also gave messages of inspiration from the Youth of the Church committee, which h&B the direction of Presbyterian youth work. Miss Every stressed the need for ever-increasing efficiency in relation to the religious training of the children in the Sunday Schools and the guidance of all who came to Bible Class age. Equipped with up-to-dato training in pedagogies and the art of visual teaching, Miss Every was able to impart instruction of great help to local church workers. She stressed the fact that tko next general Summer Conference for tho whole Dominion would be held in Palmerston North and so a great opportunity would be provided local Bible classes to get in touch with tho wider work of the youth movement. The Rev. A. A. Armstrong presided at tho gatherings and welcomed Miss Every—known as Sister Katherine —to the parish, thanked her for the help given to the youth work of St. Paul’s and assured her of a warm welcome upon her return to continue her work in the near future.
