Well-known Resident of Bush District Passes On
LATE JOSEPH EDWARD MURPHY On Saturday evening there passed away at the residence of liis brother in Wake man Street, Pahiatua, Mr. Joseph Edward Murphy, who was an old and very well known rebident of the district. Mr. Murphy, who had been ailing for some time, was a returned soldier, a \ ice-president and on the executive of the Pahiatua Returned Soldiers’ Association. For over ten years a borough councillor, he was also a very keen bowler. Mr. Murphy’s passing will be mourned by a wide circle of friends.
