“Appeasers” Busy in London
“DANZIG PREDOMINANTLY GERMAN" Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, July 0. Mr. Chamberlain is expected to make further reference to the British attitude on Danzig in the Commons tomorrow ULtcr an interview with Count Raczynski, Polish Ambassador, who is on his way to London to-night from W arsaw. Some notable “appeasers" are urging Mr. Chamberlain to ask Poland to agree to the incorporation of Danzig in the Reich, offering Poland compensation with colonies. The Times publishes letters on the appeasement policy, sympathisers pointing out that “Danzig is predominantly German and should return to the Reich."
