Russian Trade Unions Not Wanted
INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION’S REJECTION Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. ZURICH, July 8. The conference of the International federation of Trade Unions rejected by 40 votes to 37 the British invitation to the Russian trade unions to become affiliated. The question of working hours is being taken up when events permit. A further resolution advocated the economic planning of industry in order to avoid plunging millions of workers into a crisis.
