GOVERNMENT NOT SATISFIED WITH PROGRESS United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. MELBOURNE, July 7. The Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. Menzies, after a meeting of the Defence Council, said ho was not entirely satisfied with the progress of the work of defence, and the Government had decided to appoint an advisory panel to supervise the execution of the works programme. The lag in works had not retarded progress in other directions. Substantial progress had been made in the production of munitions, and more than three-quarters of the whole programme of development of munitions supply had already been launched.
