Church Services

Rev. A. H. Scriven, general secretary of the Methodist Overseas Missions, is visiting Palmerston North and will be conducting the service at St. Paul’s Church, Broadway Avenue, on Sunday morning and at Cuba Street Church in the evening. He will also speak at the Longburn Methodist Church in the afternoon. Mr. Scriven has obtained an up-to-date set of lantern slides dealing with mission work in the Solomon Islands and also two movie films of great interest. These will be shown in Cuba Street Methodist Church on Monday evening and in St. Paul’s Church on Wednesday evening. Many people will remember the visit of Rev. Belshazzar Gina two years ago. They may now see “Gina” in the movies. Mr. Scriven has an inspiring story to tell of mission work in the islands. Full particulars will be found in our advertisement columns.
