From Our Own Correspondent. Farewell Party at Moutoa | A farewell party for Mr. and Mrs. W. J. 1 Ross, of Moutoa, who are leaving on the 20th for Te Puke, was given by Mr. and Mrs. D. Ogilvy (.Foxton), Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Mullins (Tokomaru), Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Barber (Moutoa) and Mr. and Mrs. S. Austin at the latter’s residence at Moutoa on Saturday evening. Large bowls tl chrysanthemums and hydrangeas were arranged in the various rooms, where cards and dancing were enjoyed by the 80 guests, who came from Marton, Feildutfg, Palmerston North, Foxton, Shannon and Moutoa. Proceedings were of an informal nature and during the evening songs were rendered at intervals and competition dances held for which prizes were given. Supper was served, when Mr. S. Barber, on behalf of those present, made the presentation of a Westminster chiming citJck to Mr. and Mrs. Ross as a memento of their residence at Moutoa. Mr. BarfTci* conveyed with it the best wishes of their friends for their future prosperity. Mr. Ross responded on behalf of Mrs. Ross and himself.
