TAIHAPE AUTUMN CATTLE FAIR Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a yarding of well-bred cattle of all ages at the above sale on Wednesday last. Although there was not a large attendance of buyers competition was animated from the outset, the bulk of the cattle being retained in the district. The sale on the whole can be termed highly satisfactory from a vendor's point of view when taking into account values ruling at other centres for similar class cattle. A few of the main sales were as under: Account B. E. Keiller, Esq., P.A. bullocks, from £5 5s to £5 17s; a/c, J*. Whenuaroa, Esq., P.A. bullocks, from £5 6s to £6 Is; a/c. H. Merwood, Esq., P.A. bullocks (forward), £8 Is; a/c. J. Bartosh, Esq., 2*year P.A. and Hereford steers, £5 10s to £6 8s; a/c. A. T. Moore, Esq., weaner P.A. steers, £2 10s; a/c. A. T. Moore, Esq., weaner P. A. heifers, 23s 6d; a/c. Studholme Estate, Hereford cows r.w. Hereford bull, £2 17s (in conjunction with Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.); a/c. J. Whenuaroa, Esq., small 20-mths. P.A. stters, £2 17s. Other quotations at late rates.
