Kairanga
From Our Own Cori-espondent. On AVednesday evening a meeting of the Kairanga Tennis Club was held to discuss I the staging of an end of the season dance at Avhich the presentation of the trophies could be made. In the absence of the chairman (Mr. Davey), Mr. L. Clark presided. The secretary, Mr. Harrison, reported that members appointed to assist at the Te Kawau Association’s dance , Avere Mr. R. Mildon and Misses J. Kilgour and F. Eglinton. After discussion it was decided the most suitable date after th'e Slaoav would be June 19. Miniatures for .last year's cup AA'inners haA-e been don'ated by Messrs. W. Harrison and 1. Davey, and to them the thanks of the club are extended. Personal ■ Mrs. and Mrs. C. NeAvman have recently returned from a holiday at Titahi Bay. Visiting Rotorua and district are Mr. F. LeAVis and Mr. and Mrs. H. Turner and family. Miss J. Newman is lea\ r ing shortly for a vacation in Hastings. Touring in the north are Mr. and Mrs. G. Davey. The Foxton Beach settlement is the present home of Mr. and Mrs. Cummins and family. Mrs. L. Clark has returned home from an extended holiday. A. visitor from Wairoa is Miss A. Bird, who is the guest of Mrs. P. Eglinton.
