TWO VESSELS SINK AFTER BOW-ON COLLISION

As the result of a bow-on collision between two fishing vessels 115 miles from Boston, 38 fishermen are missing and are believed to be drowned. Nine were rescued. Both vessels sank quickly. The survivors, dressed only in night clothes, were near collapse after 24 hpurs in open boats.
