Miss J. Jagger, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs. C. T. Purcell, Church Street. Miss C. Cairns, Mere Mere Avenue, leaves for the south to-day on a holiday to be spent in Tim*fu. Miss J. Bristow (Wellington) is spending the term holidays with Mrs. E. Whitehead, Albert Street. Mrs. McFarlane, of Napier, is the guest of Mrs. K. F. Kirk, Argyle Avenue, Palmerston North. Mrs. Charles Williamson, of Wai* tuna, with her daughter Thyrle, are spending a holiday at Taupo.
Mrs. M. W. Horton, of Feilding, with her little daughter Barbara, is on a visit to her mother, Mrs. Quick, of Hamilton
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Buchanan, of Palmerston North, with their children, arc spending the school vacation at Paraparaumu beach.
Miss B. Stuart, assistant secretary of tho Palmerston North Y.W.C.A., is leaving for Wellington at the week-end to attend a refresher course in physical culture from May 15 to 19. This has arisen from the activities of “Physical Fitness Week” fostered by the Minister for Internal Affairs, Hon. W. E. Parry, and has been arranged for teachers, leaders of clubs, etc. On Miss Stuart’s return classes will bo inaugurated at the Y.W.C.A. at mid-day on Tuesdays for business girls and on Friday mornings for older women.
