From Our Own Correspondent. At the third annual meeting of the Tokomaru branch of the Labour Party, Mr L. Jamieson presided. The balance sheet, showing a good credit, was adopted. Mr Jamieson gave a report on the year's activities, which revealed that the branch had had a prosperous year year, the social events showing a substantial profit. He expressed regret at having to accept Mr L. Simpson’s resignation on leaving the district. He had been secretary since the branch was fox-med. . Reference was also made to the good work of Airs Simpson. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr Jamieson; vice-presi-dent, Mr M. Corlett; treasurer, Mr C. Osman; trustee, Mr Osman; committee, Mrs Gyde, Miss Guy and Mrs Ben Hays.
