A Farewell Party at Kiwitea

A very enjoyable evening was spent on Saturday, April 22, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Kilgour, Kiwitea, to farewell Mr. and Mrs. W. Williams and Miss G. Williams, who are leaving tho Te-Awa district, where Mr. Williams has farmed for over 30 j r ears, and is now retiring and going to Feilding to reside.

The evening was spent in musical items, games and competitions. Bowls of different shades of dahlias and greenery adorned the drawing rooms. Just before a dainty supper was served, Mr. T. E. Craine took the opportunity, on behalf of those present, to present Mr. and Mrs. Williams with a chromium bedroom clock. They will carry with them in their new sphere of life the very best of wishes from the TcAwa and Kiwitea districts.

Those present were Mesdames W. Williams, R. P. Kilgour, C. E. Bailey, W. Cornfoot, H. Kilgour, A. Williams, J. Gibson, Lourie, A. Robinson, C. Gore, Misses G. Williams, B. Rutherford, L. Rutherford, I. Kilgour, Messrs W. Williams, R. P. Kilgour, D. Kilgour, K. Kilgour, A. Williams, T. Williams, P. Keith, W. Cornfoot, C. Bailey, C., R. and Y. Gore, T. E. Craine, J. Gibson, 11. Krainger and A. Robinson. A very pleasant evening was brought to a closo with tho singing of “For They are Jolly Good Fellows” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
