An heroic nun, a sister of tho Seven Sorrows, gave her life to save 20 nuns and 12 girl boarding students during a fire at night which caused damage to the extent of 100,000 dollars at the Guardian Angel Convent. When a petrol lamp exploded, spraying the nun with flames, she ran through tho corridors warning all tho inmates to leave. Her remains were found in the ruins of the convent three hours later.
