Mrs. Tyler, of California, U.S.A., was a visitor at the meeting of the Palmerston North Citizens’ Lunch Club yesterda}'.
Mr. G. Gordon, Mayor of Petone, was a visitor to Palmerston North yesterday and attended the New Zealand Dahlia Society’s Show.
At the meeting of the Citizens’ Lunch Club yesterday, sympathy was expressed with Mr. J. B. Fleck in his illness, and h-e was wished a speedy recovery.
Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, arrived at Whangarei yesterday afternoon on the first stage of an extensive tour of the Northland. He inspected the Oncrahi Aerodrome, which he described as the makings of the finest in New Zealand, it being the only one in which the runways ran in three directions towards the sea. To-morrow Mr. Semple goes to Russell. —Press Assn.
