Cricket in Feilding

REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES At a meeting of the Feilding Cricket Association on Thursday evening challenges received from the Horowhenua and Southern Hawke’s Bay associations were dealt with. Both concerned the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup which Feilding won recently from Alanawatu. It was decided to offer Horowhenua a match on Saturday, Alarch 4, and it was hoped to be able to play Southern Hawke’s Bay, in the event of Feilding winning the former match, on Saturday, Alarch 18. The matter of reaching finality in this regard was held over until the completion of the present round of the Feilding club crictet. It was agreed to write the Rangitikei Association offering it a representative match on Saturday, Alarch 11.

In regard to the match in Palmerston North next Alonday and Tuesday against Sir Julien Cahn’s XI, the secretary was instructed to inquire if there were any special gate concessions for parties of school boys.
