QUESTION RAISED AT FARMERS’ UNION MEETING The practice of some livestock clrovers in using motor cars to drive sheep and cattle was reforred to at yesterday’s meeting of tho Feilding branch of tho Farmers’ Union. Air. W. G. Booth directed attention to the practice and said that tho person concerned had no control over the stock and on narrow roads serious trouble was likely to occur. He considered that the matter should be taken up by the Union with a view to having tho practico stopped. Air. L. 3. Knight considered that the question was one which the Automobile Association should tuke up on the score of the effect of tho practice on road safety.
The chairman (Mr. IT. I). Richardson) expressed agreement -with this idea and after further discusion it was agreed to represent the position to tho Wanganui Automobile Association.
