Waste of Water Causes Reduced Pressure

STEPS DISCUSSED BY COUNCIL Arising out of mention by tho Mayor of the adequate supply of water that had been forthcoming this summer, some discussion on the borough water supply took place at the meeting of the Borough Council on Monday night. Cr. Murphy said that he had been told by the Fire Brigade that there was no pressure, the Mayor replying that this was due to the fact that a great many hoses were going at the time when lack of pressure had been reported, which would result in a lowering of pressure even though the reservoir were full. It was decided to recommend to the Fire Brigade that it be advertised that hoses should be turned off on tho sounding of the fire alarm.
