Visit of Young Farmers In Show Week
PREPARING FOR ENTERTAINMENT Plans were advanced a step further yesterday by representatives of women ’s organisations towards assisting in the entertainment of members of tho Young Farmers’ Clubs who will oe visiting Palmerston North on November 5. It is expected there will be young farmers from all over New Zealand competing in the shearing competition at the Spring Show that day and it is proposed to finish the day’s proceedings with a dance. To provide partners for the visitors the Y.W.C.A. Business Girls’ and Girls’ Music Clubs, also women’s institute and branches of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union adjacent to Palmerston North aro to bo invited to nominate a certain number of their members. Mrs. J. A Russell is tho convener of the supper committee and under her capablo leader-ship the visitors are assured of being well catered for.
