Royal Honours Investiture Held
LORD GALWAY OFFICIATES AT CEREMONY IN WELLINGTON WELLINGTON, September 5. An investituto was held at Government House, Wellington, by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, tonight. His Excellency conferred the honour of knighthood on Sir Theodore Rigg, director of the Cawthron Institute” Nelson, and upon Sir ThomasEasterfield, of Nelson, and invested them with the insignia of Knight Commander of tho Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. His Excellency subsequently presented orders and decorations to the following:— C.M.G.—Dr. T. G. Gray, directorgeneral of mental hospitals; Mr. G. lx. Mackley, general manager of railways; Mr. J. Wood, Engineer-in-Chief and Under-Secretary to tho Public Works Department. C.B.E.—Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Kelly, Christchurch; Colonel S. D. Mason, Timaru.
O.B.E.—Miss M. I. Lambie, Wellington; Mrs. Sadie MacDonald, Wellington; Mr. D. J. Evans, Hokitika; Mr. J. S. Neville, Christchurch. M.B.E. —Miss E. F. Andrews, New Plymouth; Miss R. T.
