Kimbolton
From Our Own Correspondent. School Committee. At the monthly meeting of tho school committee those present were Mr I. Jensen (chairman). Mrs Davies, Messrs C. Weir, W. Scott and the headmaster (Mr Barber), and Miss Catherwood (assistant teacher). The chairman extended a welcome to Miss Catherwood. The committee discussed the advisability of installing a radio at the school. The sum £ £lO had been put aside for this purpose, and with the £6 raised by the committee from dances held during the winter months, would go a long way towards the purchase of a set. The committee decided to ask for donations from the parents and any others interested in the children. The headmaster’s report showed that the roll number was 45. Oddfellows’ Lodge. Bro V. Reesby, N.G. presided over a fair attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting. One new member. Mr G. Bladder, was initiated. Several Kimbolton members visited the Loyal Marton Lodge for an open night held on September 28.
