Obituary
MRS. ANNIE O’LOUGHLIN There passed away yesterday in the Dannevirke Public Hospital Mrs. Annie O’Loughlin, widow of the late Francis O’Loughlin, who died three months ago. The daughter of one Sylvester Kennedy, veterinary Burgeon, in the village of Bally brace, County Waterford, Ireland, the late Mrs. O’Loughlin was born 75 years ago. As a young woman she emigrated to New Zealau-1 and lived in Oamaru for some years, being employed by a drapery firm until she married her late husband more than 50 years ago. Engaged in farming, Mr. and Mrs. O’Loughlin came to the North Island soon after their marriage and 22 years ago came to the Woodville district and had been retired from active life for some years. Mrs. O’Loughlin devoted her life to her garden and her home. She had not enjoyed the best of health in the past few years. She had no family and her two sisters predeceased her by some years. MR. IRA CARRINGTON Tragically cut off was'-the young life of Mr. Ira Carrington, aged 22, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. L. Carrington, of Ormond Street, Woodville, when he died in the Napier Public Hospital on Monday last. A baker by trade, he learnt his business under Mr. H. Noble in Woodville. He was for some years a member of the Woodville Salvation Army Band and in this and all his undertakings he showed great keenness and a will to work hard. It is understood that he was shortly to have been married.
