Feilding Cricket Club

ANNUAL REPORT The following is the Feilding Cricket Club’s annual report:— “The committee ha 6 much pleasure in recording that tho club was successful iu winning the senior championship during the past season. Some very good batting performances were recorded during the season by R. Carter, N. Fitz patrick, T. Donaldson and W. Dunn, the last-mentioned being successful in win ning the batting average and with This goes Mr. C. A. Levett’s bat for the best average during the season. The best averages were those of W. Dunn (46) and N. Fitzpatrick (44). The bowling honours went to C. Fisher with an average of II runs per wicket. R. Carter also recorded good averages. The junior team had a very cllsappinting season, having to discontinue activities before the season ended, owing to lack of players. Thanks are due to Messrs C. A. J. Levett, V. E. Smith, H. Mclntyre and A. C. Buist for their valuable donations. An average of 25 runs per wicket won for the club the Bartholomew Cup. Centuries were secured by W. Dunn 127, N. Fitzpatrick 102 and B. Carter 101. The club wishes to record that it has been successful in raising its share (£25) towards the Kowhai Park pavilion fund, and those who have helped in the effort are sincerely thanked.”
