Women Commissioners.
Dame Kachei Crowdy and Dr. Mary Blackiock are the two women members included in a iioyai Commission of ten members to investigate the social and economic conditions in the West Indiau colonies. The Commission, which has received the approval of tho King, i« headed by Lord Moyno (chairman,; and expects to leave London early in October. It is pleasing to record the appointment of two such able British women, says an English writer. Thte is another proof of the consideration given to women m England, and the same obtains in many other parts of the world.
