The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Limited, Palmereton North, reporte a full yarding of pigs at their weekly fair held on Thursday when to a large attendance of buyers a total clearance wae made at prices in vendors’ favour. The demand has definitely set in now for pigs, and each pea was subject to keen competition. Poultry was in short supply, resulting in high priees ruling for all classes. W.L. hens realised up to 4s each. Good blacks went to 4s fid. The usual supply of fruit and produce was sold as under:— Pig*.—Good weaners, from 20s to 21s fid each; backward weaners, from 15s fid to 18s; slips, from 16s to 235; good stores. 25s to 275; heavy porkers, from 37m fid to 335; light porkers, from 32s to 365; sow and litters, to £lO. Poultry.—Best W.L. hens, to 8s 6d per pair; heavy 8.0. hens, to 9s per pair; eockerels, from 6s 6d to 8s 6d per pair; pullets, 4s 6d each; ducks, to 6s 6d per pair; geese, to 7s 6d per pair. Produce.—Delicious apples, from 5s fid to Ss per bushel (ex cool store); Jonathans, from 7s to Ss fid per bushel; Granny Smith, from fis to 7s 9d per bushel; Rome Beauties, from 5s to 6s per bushel; Primley Beauty, from 5s to 5m 9d per bumhel; Ballarats, from 5s to fis per bushel; orchard store apples, cookers, from 3s 6d to 4s fid per bushel; Rome Beauties, from 4s 6d to 5s 6d per bushel; pears, dessert, from 7s to 8s per l ease; cooking pears, from fis to 7s fid per case; cauliflowers, from 12s to 14s per bag; cabbage, Savoy, from 14s to 15s per bag; Drumhead, from 15s to 16s fid per bag; spring cabbage, fis 6d per case; carrots, from Is 6d to 5s 3d per ease; parsnips, from 5s to 8s per came; potatoes, from 5e to 7s per cwt.; pumpkins, red from 8s to 10s per nag; pumpkins, greys, from 6s to 7s fid per bag; beetroot, from 4s to 5s fid per case; marrows, from Is 9d to Ss fid per case; swedes, from 4s fid to 5s fid per bag; celery, from 17s te 18s 6d per case.
