Cosmopolitan Gathering At Christian Convention
WORK OF MISSIONS EMPHASISED United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, August 3. The bright turbans of Indians mingled with shock-headed South Sea Islanders at the town hall to-day when the nord Mayor welcomed the oversea delegates to tho Christian Endeavour Congress. Tho convention to-day considered group conferences and other aspects xif Endeavour work. An important part of the convention is a missionary exhibition m which visitors are shown the work of missions from Central Australia to China, Papua and Paraguay. The British and Foreign Bible Society has a particularly fine display. Ten thousand attended thy main convention meeting to-night.
