Export of Potatoes
AUSTRALIA EXPECTED TO LIFT EMBARGO ADVICE IN AUCKLAND Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 4. Advices leceived from Sydney by produce* firms are to the effect that it is believed that authority will be given for the importation of New Zealand potatoes under licence and that finality will be reached in 48 hours. Growers have withdrawn offers awaiting the result for prices are expected to rise 10/- to 20/- as soon as Sydney buys. North Island dealers are taking a keen interest in the market fearing a rise if exportations are permitted.
