No Further Flooding Expected
ABATEMENT IN HAWKE’S BAY CONDITIONS Per Press Association. HASTINGS, Last Night. The prolonged period of bad weather throughout Hawke’s Bay broke to-day. Unless further rain develops to-morrow it is likely that all danger of further flooding has been removed. There is a possibility that the rivers in tho province will rise rapidly as the snow on higher country melts, but it is impossible to judge what the rise will be until to-morrow. No rain fell at Hastings to-day. All the high comitryin the province is still covered with snow, but this should disappear with milder weather. Although high the Ngaruroro and Tutaekuri rivers did not appear dangerous to-day. All the main roads in the province are now open s
