“ Fit to Rank With Springboks ”
QUEENSLAND * RAISE FOR THE ALL BLACKS BRISBANE, Aug. 1. Commenting on Saturday’s match between the All Blacks and Queensland, the Courier Mail says: “The All Blacks are fit to rank with the Springboks.” Tho paper gives high praise to the speedy backs, but mentions that the handling was not always of the cleanest. The Daily Telegraph mentions Morrison as the most outstanding player, but credits Taylor as outshining his oponent, Walker. The team aB a whole, the paper says, was below its best largely due to the strong wind, which affected the handling.
