Bluffer Disqualified For Race it Won
SEQUEL TO NOVICE STAKES AT WELLINGTON WAS INELIGIBLE TO RACE Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Niglit. Bluffer, winner of the Novice stakes at the recent Wellington xtacing Club’s meeting, was disqualified dor the race at to-day’s meeting of the stewards of the club. It transpires she was ineligible to run, having won a race of a value of £125 to the winner as a two-year-old, the Novice Stakes being open only to those who had not won a stake of more than £IOO. Sly Fox was placed first, Proclamation second, and Yours Truly third, but, of course, the late discovery of the matter precluded any redress for backers, who collected on the judge’s placlngs. This is a confirmation of an earlier statement appearing on page 2.
