Rest Home for Women and Children
Citizens of Feilding and settlers of the surrounding district are reminded of tho public meeting to be held in the Odd Fellows' hall, Feilding, this afternoon when the proposals for tho establishment of a national women's and children’s convalescent homo at Rotorua will be outlined. The provisional board of directors intend to secure a suitable property for the purpose of carrying out the following objectives: (1) Carrying out farming operations in conjunction with the proposed convalescent home. (2) Erecting a convalescent home estimated to cost £IO,OOO and accommodating up to 50 convalescents. (3) Conducting the home for the benefit of indigent women and children requiring non-medical, post-operation and convalescent treatment. The proposed institution will be controlled by an honorary board of directors aDd admission will be on the recommendation of medical officers. This afternoon's meeting will be presided over by Airs. A. C. AlcCorkindale and a general invitation is extended to all interested to be present. Airs. Mansford, Alayoress of Palmerston North, will be the speaker.
