She was a prominent member of the Bulls Woman - s Institute, and at one time an active member of the Bulls Croquet Club. Although not enjoying the best of health in recent years, she was bright and cheerful to the end. retiring on Friday night in the best of spirits, only to succumb to a sudden seizure a few hours later. Sympathy Ts felt for tho bereaved ones. Air C. M. Broughton (Bulls), and two sons. Mr V. Broughton (P. and T. Department, Wellington), and Air E. AL Broughton (Pahiatua Herald). Wanganm Hospital reports are to the effect that Messrs Geo. Fleming, A. T 7. Blanchard and J. F. Bartlett (all of Bulls) are progressing favourably. Mr Fleming has had his elbow set, and Messrs Blanchard and Bartlett underwent operations last week. Mr and Mrs V.
