Wanganui Carls’ College Old Girls’ Association

PALMERSTON NORTH BRANCH FUNCTION Members of the above association and their friends met at tho Y.W.C.A. rooms on Friday evening and tripped the light ) j antastic to the delightful music of Ink- ■ pen’s professional orchestra. Young and old alike spent a most happy evening dancing, chatting of days of yore and ) enjoying songs by Miss Jane MacLeod 1 and elocutionary items by Miss Margery 1 Millar, A.T.C.L., L.T.C.L., both old girls » of the school. The spot ■waltz was won by Mr. Ross and Miss Barbara Smith, the lucky Gay Gordons being won by Miss Millar and Mr. Bienkhorn. The supper room was gay with greenery and spring flowers, and all enjoyed a dainty savoury supper. It was with regret that the last, streamer waltz, was announced and with tho singing of tho National Anthem, brought a bright and happy - evening to a close. Tho social committee responsible for the great success of this function comprised:—Mesdames A. W. Adcock, who wore georgette and lace; Mylroi, blue georgette; A. A. Coup, white lace; Misses N.
