BUSH DEFEAT FEELDING OXLEY SHIELD GAME Bush successfully defended the Oxley Shield against Feilding on Saturday night last, the score being 31 to 8. The curtain raiser was also won by Bush B by 37 to 6. The next challenge is from Te Kawa Association and it is hoped to play this on Saturday, August 13. As previously announced, tho Bush A and B teams will not be going to Dannevirke next Saturday owing to Dannevirko having prearranged High School games and therefore being unable to field a team. Bush A and B teams will assemble on the Pahiatua town courts (weather permitting) for a practice at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday next. Any player unable to attend is to notify Mrs. Russell. The senior j-ankee tournament for the Russell Cup will bo played on Monday, August, the first game to commence at 6.30 p.m. Any senior team not competing must notify Mrs. Russell by Saturday. The junior fixtures for next Saturday are as follows: Konini v. Ngawapurua at Tutaekara, 2 p.m. High School v. Athletic, town courts, 2 p.m. Papatawa v. Woodville, at Woodville, 2 p.m. (Mr. Lovell).
