National Party Ball at Ashhurst
There has been much cheerful preparation for tho ball organised by the women’s branch of the National Party to be held at Ashhurst on Thursday evening, and a record crowd is expected. A splendid committee of capable women have the arrangements in hand and they are determined to make the function a success, a delectable supper will be set in two supper rooms, so that little time will be lost, and the decorations in the capable hands of Mrs. F. R. Thornley will be carried out most artistically with japonica. Subdued coloured lights will enhance the appearance of the hall, the floor of which will be in perfect order. No effort has been spared to make the evening a notable occasion.
