Indians Beat South Canterbury
GROUND A SEA OF MUD Per Presß Association. TIAIARU, Last Night. Tho Indian hockey team defeated South Canterbury to-day by two goals to nil and the ground was the worst the visitors have played on, being practically a sea of mud, the result of recent heavy rain and frost. Under the circumstances good hockey was out of the question but the home team put up a stubborn defence and their display was classed by the visitors as the best given against them on their tour under similar conditions. There was no score at half-time but in the second half Abdul Latif scored an l Sultan Khan goalcd from a penalty bully.
