Feilding Athletic And Cycling Club
At a meeting of the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held on Wednesday evening there were present Messrs F. A. Dalzell (president), W. McPhail, R. Burt, H. Davis, A. H. Allen and A. McGregor.
The secretary (Mr. C. McCall) presented a balance-sheet of the sports meeting held in March which showed a profit of £ll 7s 7d. It was agreed to send letters of thanks and appreciation to Mesdames A. Fade, F. Dalzell and A. H. Allen and to Messrs E. Flintoif and A. Irvine for their assistance at the sports meeting. Mr. McPhail reported on a meeting of the Centre which he, with Mr. Wildbore, had attended. Various matters affecting the club were discussed. It was agreed to conduct a series of road races for trophies, to be held fortnightly, the first to be held on July 9. Following a discussion the meeting agreed to hold a 25-mile open road race over the Cinder hill block in August. I Messrs Allen, McGregor and McPhail were appointed to confer with the committee of the Feilding CaledonI ian Pipe B&nd regarding a sports meeting proposed for Now Year’s Day next.
