harrow win against WAIKATO Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Last Night. In a fast and exciting display of badminton, Australia defeated Waikato by eight games to nil. Play was of a high standard and the Australians had the narrowest of margins. R. Lewis (Waikato and Auckland champion) was in fine form and demonstrated the best stroke production ot all. Tonkin had experience and Harper’s severe smashing was superb. Miss M. Edmondson played very well and Miss E. Robert was clearly better than Miss I. Hewett. Mrs. Fow made too many mistakes. Results:— R. J. Harper beat H. H. Fow 15—7, 15—9; B. J. Tonkin beat R. Lewis 35—13, 11—15, 15—11; Miss E. Robert beat Miss M. Edmondson 14 —13, 11—5; Miss I. Hewitt beat Mrs. H. Fow 11—9, 12—11.
