Representative Rugby
BUSH BEAT PUKETOI The Bush Rugby team journeyed to Pongaroa on Wednesday to play the annual match against Pulcetoi SubUnion. The visitors won by six points to nil, the scores being from two fine penalty kicks by Ray Lawrence, both scored in the first spell, when Bush played with the advantage of the slope on the grounds. For both players and the public the match was spoiled by the impossible condition of the ground which in places become a quagmire soon after the kickoff. The teams were as follows: Bush (blue and red): Brown, S. Wolland, D. VVolland, K. Elliott, S. Staples, J. MeSherry, E. Lett, L. Bailey, M. Wilkinson, T. Upston, T. Verry (capt.), B. Fergus, D. Luke, R. Lawrence and Vile. Pukctoi (green and yellow): Francis, B. Smith, Duggan, Brownlie, Berney, Hartgill, Belshaw, Williams, Murphy, McDonald, Newlands, Thompson, Gandy, Berry and Evans. Mr. McDonald refereed. FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW Fixtures for to-morrow are as follow: Seniors. Mangatainoka v. Nireaha, at Mangatainoka; referee, Mr. W. Ryan. Pahiatua v. Konini, at Pahiatua; Mr. Stringfellow. Hamua v. Marima, at Hamua; Mr. W. Udy. Third Grade. llukanui v. Pahiatua, at Hukanui, 2 p.m., Mr. McCullough. Nireaha v. Eketahuna Old Boys, at Nireaha, 2 p.m., Mr. Rogers.
