Anglo-ltalian Pact
Italy Anxious for Finality SPAIN STILL OBSTACLE United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, June 19. The Italian Foreign Minister, Count Ciano, is reported to have indicated to Lord Perth (British Ambassador) thai Italy would welcome a modification of the clause in the Anglo-Itafian Pact preventing its implementation until the Italians withdraw from Spain, says the Romo correspondent of tho Sunday Times. Count Ciano, in explaining that Italy had fulfilled the clauses with the exception of those referring to Spain, contended that Italy was not responsible for the fact that Spain remains an obstacle. On the contrary he said the delays have been due to the slowness of the Non-Intervention Committee and tho obstruction of other countries, notably France.
