FALREY v. KENNEDY What looks as though it should be one of the most sensational and even wrestling bouts seen for a long time is to bo staged at the Opera House on Thursday night, when Pat Fraley, the singing cowboy, who has the distinction of getting a decision over our New Zealand champion, Lofty Blomfield, is to contest an eight-round bout with Jack Kennedy, who, it will be remembered, lost to Blomfield on a penalty fall in this city about a month ago. The bout, Kennedy v. Blomfield, was admittedly a hectic encounter, with Kennedy easily holding his own against the Maorilander, and it was only through his ignorance of the rules applying in Now Zealand to a contestant partially in the ring that brought down the penalty on his head. Against Fraley, who measures and weighs about the same as Kennedy, he will show to better advantage also, but he will have to travel fast to keep up the speed likely to be set by the cowboy. Fraley is a most picturesque figure in the ring and applies all the modern holds with a precision that comes of many hours of practice against fast opponents. His aerial tactics are spoctacular and most effective, while his specialty, the flying toe-hold, is a real masterpiece of quick thinking and accuracy in application.
