Pre-war Splendour at Doom

WEDDING UNDER HOHENZOLLERN STANDARD AMSTERDAM, May 4. Pre-war splendour was revived at the wedding of Prince Louis Ferdinand and the Princess Kyra at Doom. The ex-Kaiser wore the uniform of the Prussian Guards and the former Crown Prince the uniform of the Death’s Head Hussars. The bride’s father, the Grand Duke Cyril, who in 1924 proclaimed himself Czar, wore his pre-war uniform. The Hohenzollern standard is flying over Doom, the only place in the world whore it is still displayed. The civil ceremony took- placo on May 2 at the Cecilianhof, the former Crown Prince’s residence near Potsdam, after which a Russian marriage service took place in the presence of a hundred royalties. The ceremony at Doom was according to the rites of the German Evangelical Church.
