Wool, Skin, Hides And Tallow Sale
THURSDAY’S OFFERING Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their monthly aution sale of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow, held j on Thursday, as follows: —We offered a large catalogue to a full bench of buyers and competition was keen throughout. Values, in sympathy with other markets, declined slightly. Wool: Values for all grades were on a par. Sheepskins: Showed a slight drop of id per lb. Hides: Were on a par to l-8d lower. Tallow: Declined 15s to £1 j)er ton. Wool: Crossbred BJd to SJd, dead 6d to 7?{d, crutchings 54H to 61d, locks and pieces 4gd to 6d. Sheepskins: Fine hoggets 8d to Sid, hoggets 6Jd to 7Jd, three-quarter-full wools 7d to quarter-half wools 7|d to Bid, crossbred, damaged, s|d to G:1-d, lambs 6ld to 74d, pelts 3d to 41d. Hides: Ox heavy did to 7d, ox medium 5 3-8 d to 5 5-Bd, ox light to 4 7-8(1. cow heavy 4 5-8 dto sd, cow medium 5-8d to 4 7-Bd, cow light 4 5-8 d to 4 7-Bd, yearlings ssd to 7 3-Bd, calf light (Ist) 8 ,1-Sd to 8 7-Bd, calf light (2nd) 8 l-8d to 8 5-Bd, calf (cut) 6 7-Btl to 7-ld. Tallow: In drums (Ist) 14s to 14s 3d, in tins (Ist) 6s to 9s.
