Whirokino Drowning
VICTIM’S BODY RECOVERED As a result of the dragging operations which have beeu carried out continuously, under the supervision of the police, the body of Nepia Tamihaua, the 17-year-old youth who was drowned in the Manawatu river on Sunday, tvas recovered yesterday afternoon. Deceased Was swimming beneath the Whirokino bridge when he tired and sank. There is a fairly strong circular current in this locality and dragging was confined to the comparatively small area which it embraced. This was justified for deceased was found practically where he was last seen. An inquest is to be held later.
